Kato-shi was established on March 20, 2006 through the merger of Sha-machi, Takino-machi, and Tojo-machi.
The city is located only an hour’s drive from Osaka and Kobe, and approximately 800,000 golfers visit the golf courses in Kato-shi every year.
Professional golf tournaments are also held annually.
The “Kato-shi Golf Association” takes advantage of this favorable environment, and with the cooperation of local residents, golf courses, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the local government, the association is working to promote the development of junior golfers and other activities,
